Certificate III in Community Services, Certificate III and IV in Disability
While at school at Don College in Devonport, Jess Benge found herself dedicating time to working with, and helping people with a disability.
In 2009 this dedication saw her win the Tasmanian Training Awards VET in Schools Student of the Year Award achieving a Certificate II in Community Services Work an incredible achievement at such a young age.
Jess continued to expand her skills and experience with a Certificate III in Community Services and Certificate III and IV in Disability and has taken on different roles in the sector. She was awarded Tasmanian trainee of the year in 2013 and then went on to win an Australian overseas foundation scholarship.
Jess’s skills and her passion for helping folks with autism have taken her around the world and opened countless doors, all on the back of making a difference for others.
She is the Founder and Director of Racing with Autism Australia which is a national project, as well as still supporting people with disabilities Jess is now the program manager at AL3- Avidity Group. Creating programs for people with disabilities to be able to reach their full potential and goals.
Jess has completed a further two qualifications in a Certificate IV training and assessment and Diploma in Community Services.
Jess is a wonderful example of what is possible with vocational education and training and a true inspiration.
